Bookings for our RYA courses in 2020 are now open!

We offer the complete range of RYA recognized courses both for sailing and powerboating in Portugal. Lisbon, besides being a great city to visit, is also a great location for training. With strong tides, traffic, challenging pilotage scenarios, river and offshore sailing you will find it all here.

You will also find cheap flights from the major locations around the world and easy acess from the airport to the marina.

Our sailing courses run in top quality sailing boats, a Dufour 382 from 2018 and a Bavaria 32 cruiser from 2010. Our poweboat courses run in a Ribcraft 6,4 pro with a 175hp Suzuki. You will find a dedicated team of 4 resident RYA certified instructors ready to help and share their knowledge.

We also offer the required theory courses, both in class and online. This includes RYA Essential Navigation and Seamanship, RYA Day Skipper Shorebased and RYA CS/Yachtmaster Shorebased as well as the shorbased specialist courses (RYA VHF SRC, RYA First Aid and RYA Radar).

Descrição: O Competent Crew é um curso para iniciados que procuram tornar-se tripulantes ativos em vez de simples passageiros a bordo. Quer seja iniciado ou tenha ainda pouca experiência e procura uma certificação inicial, esta é provavelmente a opção ideal para entrar no esquema de treino da RYA. No final do curso deve ser capaz de ir ao leme, manobrar as velas, saber remar um anexo e participar em todas as tarefas do dia a dia a bordo. A experiência inclui ainda viver e dormir a bordo durante 5 dias o que implica perceber tudo o que precisa de ser feito a bordo para manter um veleiro a funcionar. O nível de Day Skipper tem também a duração de 5 dias a bordo (residencial). Este é um curso para aspirantes a skipper que possuem já alguma experiência de navegação à vela e dominam os conceitos teóricos básicos de navegação (é fundamental possuir os conhecimentos teóricos de suporte e aconselhado ter feito RYA Day Skipper Shorebased). O treino centra-se em desenvolver as capacidades para tomar decisões certas para chegar de forma segura ao seu destino. Este curso funciona em regime de "Split Weekend": um fim de semana de 2 dias e um fim de semana prolongado de 3 dias (sexta+sábado+domingo).

Coastal Cruising

Get to know our coastal cruising options in a fantastic blue water cruiser RM1350.

Between April and October, we organise multiple coastal passages bewteen Lisboa and the Algarve. This is also a great opportunity to gain some experience and add some nautical miles to your log.

Mileage Building

Between April and October we frequently organize coastal passages between the Algarve and Lisbon, both sail and power. This is also an excellent opportunity to gain experience and add some nautical miles to your cv.
